| Publication of the report on the transactions of the Board of Governors of the Society of Cretan Historical Studies for 1959. During this time, financing problems were adequately dealt with. The collections, library and archives at the Historical Museum were enriched, and restoration work on the church of Aghios Markos continued. It was decided to hold a International Cretan Studies Conference. The Xanthoudides Folklore Contest was held. Classification work began on the Archive of the Heraklion Demogerontia (Council of Elders). New members joined the Society. |
