| Publication of the outgoing correspondence ledger of the General Command of the Eastern districts of Crete in the 1878 revolution. Participants in the General Command were Konstantinos Sfakianakis as General Commander, Antonios Zografos-Xanthoudides as Second in Command, Drakos Sfakianakis as Senior Adjutant and First Secretary, and David Xanthoudides as Adjutant and Under-Secretary. They directed military operations in the districts of Pediada, Rizos (Viannos), Lassithi, Merambello, Ierapetra and Sitia. The ledger ended up in the personal archive of Drakos Sfakianakis and then passed to the Historical Document and Photograph Archive at the Historical Museum of Crete. It includes orders and documents issued from 23rd March to 21st July 1878, entered in summary form or copied out, given in chronological order and by serial number |
