Presentation of the new acquisitions of the Giamalakis Collection in 1953. These consist of gold jewellery, bronze and clay archaeological finds and twelve sealstones, dated from Minoan to Roman times. The items originate from Knossos, Makrytichos, Malia, the Pediada, Phaistos, Gortys, Apesokari and other parts of the Mesara, as well as Rethymnon, Axos, Adele, Ierapetra, Psychro and Athens. |
