| In January 1852, the Patriarch of Constantinople Anthimos IV issued a sigil detaching Myriokefala Monastery from Roustika Monastery and declaring it stavropegiac (i.e. exempt from the episcopate, under the direct control of the Patriarchate). This parchment text, bearing the lead seal of Anthimos, was found at Myriokefala Monastery. It is described and published, accompanied by brief notes. |
