Two manuscripts connected to the Cretan Monastery of Agarathos have been discovered in the Biblioteca Marciana, Venice and the British Museum, London. The first of these, which contains the Revelation to John glossed by St Andreas of Caesaria, bears a note on its dedication to the monastery by Clement, a monk, on 18 November 1532. The second manuscript contains two notices of the deaths of Niphon and Germanos, monks at Agarathos, in the years 1559 and 1572 respectively. |
