For this reason, at a time when the Sublime Porte was facing serious problems with its overall foreign policy, the Sultan called an extraordinary investigatory Divan meeting in Chandax and a Pasha was beheaded. The documents cover the period from 1684 to 1686 and are kept in the Turkish Archive of Heraklion.
